Starting Something New

This week marks the last week for the Sunday School Smack-down. Please make sure you have your Bible verses memorized. This is the last week to catch up.

May 4th will be our Awards ceremony. We'll be pulling together all the classes to give out the iPods and announce the classes who won the catered breakfasts. Between all of the classes you, as students, have memorized a couple hundred memory verses and established habits of bringing your Bibles each week. That's awesome! I'll give more details on this on Sunday.

We'll also be starting a new Sunday School series called Claim the Life. I've attached a link to their website below for your parents to check out. As always, we'll be focusing on relying on the Bible to get us through our everyday lives. I'll be turning our focus more on worship and prayer. Each week we'll dedicate a few minutes to reflect on the previous week, share our prayer requests, and hit some action points from the lesson. I'm looking forward to it. Each of you will receive a lesson book to keep with you to work through the lessons and look back on throughout the week. Make sure you bring it each Sunday!

I'm excited to branch off in this somewhat new direction, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, too.
